Morning Mindset and Affinity Mapping:

I had a lot of thoughts on mornings and coffee before the Pandemic started, during these days I applied for user interviews, user research roles, and usability tests.

These blog posts help me understand the morning mindset and some UX research methods, such as:

Some people like TGIF, and Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, others STARBUCKS’, what is your favorite coffee?

People wake up in the morning different ways: some cannot leave the house in the morning without a cup of coffee, others prefer tea, other yet enjoy doing a walk of 10000 steps or exhaust themselves with morning exercises.     What does your picture of the morning look like? Is it a real American morning for you?

Imagine it

Imagine the situation! A Coach USA bus arrives to NYC at 6AM, lots of people are in a hurry! You are at a loss. What to spice your morning with? With a cup of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee?, or STARBUCKS’? A usual bagel, or Dunkin’ Donuts? Does it look user-friendly to you, or do you want to change the setting? 

Your morning mindset can be different. Let’s predict what it might it look like with a few statements:

  1. I can’t wake up without a cup of coffee.

  2. As for me I prefer, STARBUCKS’ green tea

  3. I just love Donuts

  4. 10000 steps and morning exercises

  5. I have no time to even think about it
