What is/are your favorite novels that speak about my SEO strategies?

Even though I am a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) strategist, I  could never understand today’s world and the dominance of the Internet and social media. More and more time, we spend time on the computer, on our digital devices. I guess I feel like Donald Shimoda, the former mechanic, and the character of one of  Richard Bach's books, Illusion. He was just a pilot but all around him thought he was a Messiah.

The life in Quotes from Donald Shimoda

I read this book a long time ago in Russia, now when I am reading the Amazon reviews about this book and they brought back my own memories. So let’s discuss the reviews and think together:

Illusions really impressed me. The book’s subtitle is named “The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah.” In my view, the title explains that the main character, Donald Shimoda, was a pilot and loved being a pilot. He wasn’t a Messiah.  There is nothing mystical in this.

Another reader wrote: “This is one of my favorite books EVER--I've read.“ I can sign under this statement. I loved it because it reflects my own feelings and view, especially now when I changed my world,  by moving to the U.S. from Russia. I look and act differently. I think the Messiah is just a person who views life differently.

How belief can be as real?

Looking at the life of Reluctant Messiah from the point of view of my current job as an SEO strategist, I compare my life with Donald Shimoda’s. Sometimes my clients think my job is magic, even though it has nothing to do with magic. The biggest part of my job is digital marketing, keywords' research. Nothing magical in that! The same as Shimoda, he was just a pilot. My job is simply about analysis, I am using clients’ Google analytics, as well as other tools like Semrush. Shimoda is a pilot, he uses his plane as a tool. His plane, called Blue Infinity, is like my iPhone and Macbook.

I enjoy Richard Bach’s view of a true family, the bonds that exist among different people.

He writes, “The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof.”

Air to discover the life in Pandemic:

Especially now in the time of the pandemic, I understand this. I didn’t choose to be born in a time of the Coronavirus, the same as I came to live in Goshen, NY, in such a difficult time.

I love the book’s simplicity. On one hand, this book shows a limitation of reality, on the other side, it touches different parts of the same reality.

As Donald Shimoda says: “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.”
— Donald Shimoda
In the same review, the author says: “But my issue with Illusions is that it appears to me like a watered-down version of the main theme of Castaneda’s first four books, and it is, simply, nowhere near as interesting.”
— Smirnov Ruslan, based on product-reviews

I think for patients who think he can die tomorrow but survives, his doctor is the Messiah. I never thought the profession of doctors is easy, especially nowadays. I cannot imagine the situation where many doctors are in now.  Many of them have to inform parents about the passing of their children or inform children about the death of their parents.  For some people those situations are more than a reality.

Not in a way we are Messiah, we are Messiah in a customer’s value.
I know I am not the messiah. Donald Shimoda, Richard Bach’s pilot “I’ll quote the truth wherever I find it, thank you.”
— Smirnov Ruslan, based on Donald Shimoda, Richard Bach’s pilot

Now in a day of Eid al-Adha, when Muslims all day  are in the mosque, these days many of us keep a social distance,  we thank God, for the fact we are safe, and I am just an SEO strategist using the benefit of the Squarespace circle member.

I just think thank God it is Friday we can always see this reality, but other people as an itinerant barnstormer, Richard Bach can see the same reality differently.

Ruslan Smirnov (Remindable)

A few words about myself. I came from Russia three years ago. Back in Russia, I had an SEO company for 20 years. When I came to the U.S, I have been looking for a job to apply my skills of web and graphic design, research, UX design. Then the COVID happened. I was lucky to be hired to design an online store for a small grocery food market. I used the Squarespace platform for the design and came across with so many issues! I joined Squarespace Circle in hope to get support and answers to the issues I faced during the store and my own website design. The support team in Squarespace does not provide immediate assistance though do not refuse to help, but never state the timeline in the solution of the complex problems. I think it is unfair as I am paying a lot of money for their site subscription and their support.
