Fairytales and Squarespace Circle portfolio.

Even though my life is not like life in the Saint Exupéry fairytale, my creative strategist career path is a very interesting story.

To start with, more than 3 years ago I came to the United States from Russia. More than 20 years ago, I was looking forward to my life in Russia,  in the world of Google, as an owner of SEO studio Bearded PR, but here, in Goshen, NY, I feel like a little boy, in a scary world of concrete Jungle. I guess,  only with the heart you could understand, my readers, what New York looks like for a person who is new to this area?

I feel lonely, like in the desert, probably that's why I started my trips to New York, as well as creating my Remindable Studio Portfolio. Three-hour trips from Goshen to New York are tiresome but I found the way to distract myself and the trips became less boring. I started taking photos and videos that you can find on my Instagram as well as in my portfolio. I thoroughly enjoyed this activity, now it’s just my research and memories.

TGIF planet location:

That’s how I started writing about my Fridays’ events, as well as illustrating my portfolio. Life changes again. What is my own TGIF stand for, I was asking myself in a way to Manhattan NYC, every Friday.

Actually even I have not Been at TGI Fridays bars, Thank God most of my Fridays was smaller, but always different:

  • My meetings were usually started in Moroccan cuisine, Tagine, the same place, same time, but I always met with different people.

    1. We usually research very differently, same SEO topics, but different strategize.

COVID-19n stoped our life that we were accustomed to. Three months I am home, as everybody else! I thought I am not a Little Prince anymore, again lonely in the desert.

Planet of COVID-19:

Dream it.

Today when many of us speak about Coronavirus,  I started working as a brand strategist of the site for a local online store Roccoroma Market. Besides, more than two years ago I started building my own website portfolio at Squarespace platform. Now I am a Squarespace Circle member, still making my UX research, and asking questions, such as:

Build it.

  • Who are you, people, where do you live? I thought life is a choice and probably that's why we decided to make money, as an answer to a question of what makes us, people, happy. Grown-ups never understand that money and choice do not make us, people, happy.

  • I am still asking Who am I? It is so difficult to judge yourself or judge a person who is looking for a job.  I am still wondering how comes just a few years ago I was the owner of a successful design studio, and now I am among those who are looking for a job. That is what my next post is about.

Grow it.

Once I remember I showed a woman gardening, not far from the Roccoroma store, she looked happy just with planting flowers. Why is someone happy with gardening, and others grow five thousand roses, and still unhappy?

That made me wonder and I started my research with Google.

I searched for such words as abbreviations “WOW.” I was wandering in the ocean of terms and definitions like a child in the world of money and brands. “World of Warcraft (game)” was the first Google result.
— Smirnov Ruslan (Remindable) based on acronyms.thefreedictionary.com › WOW

If to speak about money and Word of Brands:

WoW as I remember when I was a child  Blizzard Entertainment World of Warcraft (WoW) was my favorite MMORPG game. I always discuss how fighting Orc, and do not even know I was the part of the brand, and WoW PR, abbreviation.

TGIF Trips Planet.

We are still at home, but thank God today is Friday, a really unusual day - I had a trip with my brother to Long Island.

My Friday mornings usually start at 6-7 am but thank God it is an unusual Friday. That’s why I started preparing for the trip at 5.15.

At 5. 40 I made a cup of fresh, dark Colombian coffee, it made my day. Thank God, I bought it yesterday in Roccoroma, a local grocery store. Even though my job is a search engine optimization, now I am building an e-commerce site for Roccoroma Brand

It was an amazing TGIF trip, with my brother, even though we spent it on the track, almost like at home, in research for Roccoroma Store.

What is Roccoroma?

12.20 pm We are on Long Island, New York. Even as the spread of new coronavirus cases went down it is not the safest place to be near New York.

At 15.00 we finally finished the day in  Long Island New York, the place looking like an antique auction, but was not.

The day finally finished at 12.00 a.m I was tired but happy. In my mind, as a reminder, I was bearing the image of Little Prince by Antoine de Saint Exupéry

Here are my TGiFriday’s lessons:

  • Be honest with yourself - it doesn't matter what you do and who you are, the main thing is how you value the time spent together with your family, friends, colleagues?

  • Sometimes we succeed in judging people, the world, even each other, but think who you are in this particular moment, are you a judger or an observer who learns the lessons from life?

  • Be yourself then judge - what is the value of the day?

  • If not together, who helps us to save the world?

That is the story behind the little prince, my life in New York, and my portfolio.
